The Gallivan Center is a vibrant urban oasis in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. It offers a diverse array of free, family-friendly events, including live music, festivals, and cultural performances. The lush grass amphitheater, public ice rink, and engaging art installations provide a perfect backdrop for relaxation and entertainment. Additionally, the surrounding area boasts a variety of dining options, shopping centers, and attractions like the City Creek Center and historic Main Street, making it an ideal destination for a full day of fun and exploration.
Parking
Discounted parking validations will be available for purchase at the Gallivan Center concession area at the northeast corner of the Plaza. These validations can be purchased in 1-hour increments and will save you time and money. Upon exiting the garage, scan your parking ticket and the validation(s).
Restroom and Building Access:
- Restrooms are located in Gallivan Hall and may be accessed through the northeast doors of the Gallivan Center concession area.
- The Gallivan Stage Building is reserved for Excellence in the Community staff, Gallivan Center Program and Event Staff, musicians/artists, and technical crews.

Underground Parking Protocols:
- For those patrons who park in the underground parking garage below Gallivan Center, please note that the elevator beneath the Gallivan Center Stage Building is reserved for Excellence in the Community staff, Gallivan Center Program and Event Staff, musicians/artists, and technical crews. To ensure smooth operations of load in and load out for our crews and the safety of all patrons and artists, we kindly ask that you use alternative elevators located throughout the Gallivan Center parking garage.
- For those patrons who require mobility assistance and/or are looking for the most efficient Plaza access, we recommend utilizing the elevator directly below Gallivan Hall on the north side of Gallivan Center. Once you’ve arrived on the Plaza level, you can then either walk around the building (Gallivan Hall) or through the vestibule in Gallivan Hall to access the Plaza.
