David H. Park, ‘a soloist with extraordinary artistic gifts’, (Salt Lake Tribune). David Park’s playing “commands respect ….of the highest order,” (Le Journal du Sud Quest, Bordaux, France). Recent performance credits include Carnegie Hall, concerts in France, London, and Los Angeles.
David started playing voilin at the age of five in Seoul, Korea. Park had studied with two of the most distinguished pedagogues, Josef Gingold and Dorothy Delay. He recieved his Bachelor of Music at the University of Indiana, where he studied with Yuval Yaron. David recieved a master of Music degree at the Juilliard School. At the age of 14, he was one of the youngest students of the legendary Jascha Heifetz.
In 2016, Park received an award for Higher Education of the Year by Utah ASTA, where Finer Points proclaimed him as ‘one of the best violin solosits and music pedagogues in the nation.’ Furthermore, he received the coveted Global Music Award for his debut solo CD,’Violin Meditations.’ In 2020, his Kreisler album with Centaur Records was sold-out in the first week of the release, and Donald Vroon, editor of American Records remarked ‘this is the most brilliant Kreisler recording I know.”
In 2021, Park performed concertos of Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Beethoven, and Vivaldi Four Seasons in St. George, Los Angeles, and New York. Also, 2021 will mark his London debut. For that concert he played a Stradivarius from Beare’s Internation Violin Society.
“A True Renaissance Man” (Salt Lake Tribune), in 2019, Park was appointed to be the Cultural Ambassador of Ferrari. In 2011, Park’s passion for fine wine culminated inhis induction as Commander of Honor in Bordeaux, France, for one of the world’s oldest wine societies, Commanderie du Bontemps. In 2015, Park made his acting debut in , and also performed Massenet’s “Meditation Thais” and Bach’s “Air on a G String” for the soundtrack of the movie, “The Strongest Man.” The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festivial and was then released in theatres nationwide.
