Excellence’s Mission

Excellence in the Community creates more and better performance opportunities for Utah’s finest musicians. Communities are enhanced as people come together to recognize and experience the accomplishments of deserving artists. Our programs foster social, economic and community development. Music to match the mountains.

Your Ticket Has Been Paid For

We believe that high-quality music should be available to everyone regardless of their economic circumstances, for this reason since 2012 all our events have been free. With tickets being paid for by our generous sponsors.

"I started Excellence in the Community out of a desire to create more and better performance opportunities for Utah musicians."

Jeff Whiteley
Managing Director

Excellence's History

Excellence in the Community grew out of Jeff Whiteley’s experiences as a street musician in Paris. Founded in 2005, Excellence in the Community is 501 C3 nonprofit organization based on the premise that Utah’s best musicians and dancers represent a powerful resource for bringing people together and enhancing communities. We work to create more and better performance opportunities for Utah artists.
