SUMMARY:David Park at Orem Library Hall
DESCRIPTION:David H. Park started playing the violin at the age of five in Seoul\, Korea. Since coming to the United States in 1976 at the age of seven\, Park has studied with some of the most distinguished artists and teachers\, such as Jascha Heifetz\, Josef Gringold\, Dorothy Delay and Yuval Yaron\, He received  his Bachelor of Music at the University of Indiana\, and Master of Music at the Juilliard School. Park made his New York debut performing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in Carnegie Hall.  His concerts were broadcast nationally in France by France Musique during his debut with the Aix-en-Provence Music Festival. He received the coveted Global Music Award for his debut solo CD\, Violin Medications.  He debut Kreisler album was sold-out in the first week of release in 2020. He has performed concertos of Tchaikovsky\, Brahms\, Beethoven\, Burch and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in cities such as Los Angeles and New York and made his anticipated London debut playing on a Stradivari from Beare’s International Violin Society. Park appeared on the cover of Fanfare magazine in 2023 and has performed three times at Carnegie Hall as well as the historic United Nations Ballroom in London receiving a 5-star review from Fanfare. Park plays a 1692 ‘Earl Falmouth” Stradivari violin.  \n\n\n\nLarry Gee. Larry was Assistant Conductor of New York City Opera\, received his Master of Music at Indiana University\, and has been a professor at University of Utah and Snow College.

SUMMARY:Salt Lake Symphonic Choir
DESCRIPTION:WIll Baxter Band – Neil Diamond Tribute\n\n\n\n\nFounded in 1949\, the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir is the third oldest musical organization in the valley behind only The Tabernacle Choir and the Utah Symphony.  The Salt Lake Symphonic Choir has performed throughout the United States\, Canada\, Russia\, and Armenia. \nIn May 2019\, the choir celebrated its 70th anniversary with a spectacular performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in Libby Gardner Concert Hall. Now 75 years old\, the choir continues to seek out and perform new and exciting music. \nThe  choir regularly collaborates with professional instrumentalists\, regional symphony orchestras and choirs\, most recently performing the Requiems of both Mozart and Verdi with the Utah Choral Artists under the diection of Brady Allred. \nThe choir performs a variety of sacred and secular music from jazz and bluegrass to contemporary classical works such as the Utah premiere of Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living\, and recently-commissioned works from Michael Mills and the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir’s own Adam Holladay and Ryan Meeks.

Their signature sound\, built on tight vocal harmonies and rich acoustic guitar tones\, captures the spirit of the great bands of the 1960s and 1970s. \nThe band consists of John Diehl\, Mark Milligan\, Doug Pierce\, Gary Bullock\, and Mark Broadway—five longtime members who share a deep connection through music. Each has been playing and singing since childhood and continues to grow in both skill and artistry. \nCode Blue Band has performed for charity events\, community celebrations\, and two Utah governors\, as well as at venues including the Ed Kenley Amphitheater in Layton\, the Draper Amphitheater\, and many others across the state. \nThe concert is currently sold out online\, but we’ll do our best to find you a seat if there are any no-shows.
